Nathan, a secondary scholar has the ability to rewind time by 30 seconds at the snap of his fingers, but no more. This leads to some comical situations.

 

So if he were to start a fight, and wind up 32 seconds into it, when he snaps: he will still be 2 seconds into it. So no stopping 9/11, killing Hitler, or investing in Apple.

But when confronted by his physical bully, Tom, Nathan decides to utilise his powers to fight back, but comes to learn that maybe he didn't full understand the repucussions of his actions, and that we all control our own choices and paths.
